MEETUP TIME at P&R: 2:00PM

GATHERING at BUZZ & MJs: 2:30-3PM

Assembling our greens: 3PM until..?

Come kick off the holiday season making wreaths, swags, garland and other ornaments. Spend a day trimming evergreens and other assorted plants to create beautiful, fresh holiday wreaths and swags. You too can decorate your home or rural farm with fresh holiday wreaths, garlands and swags from living plant material! Fresh holiday greenery will enhance both the inside and the outside of your home and makes an attractive, welcome gift.

You will find that making your own fresh wreath is not only economical, but TONS OF FUN! We will have a step by step video for those who have never assembled swags and wreaths before, so don't let experience hold you back!

This event will take place at MJ and Buzz's residence in Gig Harbor. THANK YOU MJ AND BUZZ FOR HOSTING!  Chili, cornbread and hot beverages provided!  Address will be emailed to people attending. Basic evergreens will be provided.  Supplies you will need to bring for making holiday wreaths and garlands: Pruning shears, old scissors, hot glue gun, No. 9 wire, wreath hoops, strong binding wire or twine, pine cones, berried branches, ribbon, embellishments, etc. Some of our creations will be donated to our elderly friends in the community who have no families to celebrate Christmas with.

See you all soon!!. Questions? Call or text me @ [masked]

Found and grabbed some lipstick red berries on my run this morning. Thanks for planning an event that causes me to slow down to appreciate the natural beauty in my own neighborhood. (Ok, I run slowly anyway. : )

Awesome! We can use any extras! Slow running? Is that the same as power walking? Hahaha :D

    • Wanda C.

Heck no, those power walkers are awesome. Any day I run that EMS doesn't have to be called, is a good day!

Hey peeps! Michaels is limited on the size of wreath hoops, they only have 12 inch, if you would like a larger hoop buy the imitation wreath and strip off the fake and add the real greens at the event, I will bring some tools to strip down the imitation hoops if you elect to go that route, see you all Sunday!

Picked up a 12" frame (that's all they had) a glue gun & glue, thin green wire (26 gauge?) and a little bling. Will bring pine cones (tiny to medium,) some wild "berries, greens from my yard, a piece of chicken wire (approx 2 1/2' x 12 ') to share. Will also bring some kind of sweetness to share.

Not exactly sure I understand the supply list. No 9, 22,24,20 - are these descriptors (i.e., found at craft store) or quantities. I can plunder a few branches from my trees to add a little different texture/color. Plenty of pine cones too.

Pulled info off the internet, numbers are the gauge of wire, if you get your material from Michael's, they can help with materials you will need

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
