Sheet Mulching at Home: Prepring for Spring Vegetables

Join us this Saturday… October 26th  9:30 a.m.

Sheet mulching is a process used to create productive and healthy soils with little effort. The event will begin with an educational sheet mulching event at the home of Tom and Susan Galligan, instructed by Dot Perkins. Then, with the help of community members and volunteers from Colby-Sawyer College, we will schedule to go to your home and sheet mulch a portion of your lawn or garden for no cost.  Free blueberry bushes and a 10% discount coupon to Springledge Farm are offered to all who participate!

Location: The Galligans' yard, across from Colby-Sawyer College on Main Street.

Cost:   FREE

About the Instructor:  Dot Perkins

Dot is the Education Program Coordinator for the UNH Cooperative Extension. She is a certified permaculture designer and herbal specialist with a lifetime of
farming and gardening experience in New England.  She is an avid gardener, ready to share her knowledge of sheet mulching with us.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
