I'm unable to attend this year, but if anyone happens to attend Sandor Katz's talk and could buy a copy of his new Art of Fermentation book for me (if he's selling them at a good price like last year), I would so appreciate it and eagerly reimburse you (at another meetup, e.g. the upcoming Monday evening potluck, or we can work out another arrangement)! Thanks :D

I'm not sure I'll be able to attend this year, but I went last year and enjoyed it. I volunteered in the kitchen in exchange for the entrance fee (which seems even more prohibitive this year!). I was very much inspired by Sandor Katz's talk/demonstration on fermentation, and fortuitously got to take home some radishes and turnips, compliments of Jeff Poppen, which I eagerly used for my first vegetable ferment, along with sweet potatoes. Thus began my fermentation obsession and experiments!
