(JUST REALIZED IT'S A 1,000 CHARACTER LIMIT, NOT MINIMUM. FEELING SILLY.) I read Daniel Quinn's "Ishmael" and Derrick Jensen's "Endgame," both of which messed me up good in the head. I founded a bike-courier service in Burlington, VT that felt good and green and participated in the burgeoning Decatur Street community there. We hosted backyard open mics, eat-in-the-street parties using dumpstered food, free block parties, skill-shares, classes, etc. I moved to NYC in a fit of mania with an ex-girlfriend, hated it, and subsequently apprenticed for several months at Koviashuvik Local Living School in Temple, ME. I am currently living with my parents in Freeport, working at a restaurant and making music. Also, and more importantly, I've been scouting wild food / available dumpsters in the hopes of revitalizing a Food Not Bombs group, and am in the scouting/pre-planning stages of launching a FreeSkool or the like in Portland.
I'm an artist, musician, rewilder and table-waiter in Freeport.
