Light Snack At Trails Cafe and Hike To The Griffith Park Observatory

Greetings, Transition to Green Community!

For those of you who have not joined us in awhile on this hike, please note an earlier start time compared to hikes enjoyed during the middle of winter.  We will be meeting at 9:15 at the Trails Cafe, and then hitting the beautiful nearby trails by 9:30.  Depending on interest, we may trek up to the Griffith Observatory as we have many times before.  Please have a nutritious and satisfying breakfast before joining us.

After we return from our hike, we may enjoy a delightful bite to eat at the Trails Cafe (https://www.facebook.com/TheTrailsCafe/info), which offers a variety of sandwiches, baked goods, several vegetarian and vegan options, and fresh (and socially responsible) coffee and loose-leaf tea options.

If you have a socialized doggie or doggies, please consider bringing them along, too!

Please bring a stainless steel water bottle and wear hiking boots or tennis shoes with good treads on them for gripping the ground. Also, bring a hat or visor in case the sun decides to beam down on us. Wear some SPF 30 on your skin, especially if you're fair complected. You may want to smear some sunblock on your nose to prevent burning there.

Transition To Green isn't liable for you in the city park - Griffith Park area, which includes the hiking trails. You are going at your own risk.

The weather for this Sunday is poised to be somewhat warmer than this week, with temperatures during the time of our hike/walk anticipated to range from the mid 60s near the start, and up into the mid to upper 70s by the end of our walk/hike.

Any questions or concerns, please email through the *Contact Us* tab that appears under the profile photo of Val or Terry. Looking forward to visiting with you everyone!

Best Regards,

The Transition to Green (T2G) Team
