  for the course.  \n\nIn order to provide an in-depth experiential introduc
 tion to Transition for those considering bringing Transition to their commu
 nity\, and to meet the training requirement for local initiating groups\, t
 he Transition Center\, Portland ME is now offering the two-day Training for
  Transition course as developed by Naresh Giangrande and Sophy Banks of the
  Transition Network\, in England.\n\nAt the Training for Transition course\
 , you will: \n    • Experience a deep understanding of the Transition ethos
  \n    • Experience an intimate encounter with the emerging future  \n    •
  Develop skills to deal with difficult questions\n    • Have clear talking 
 points around Climate Change and Peak Oil \n    • Receive an inspirational/
 energetic boost that will empower \n       and propel you as a powerful Tra
 nsition catalyst in your community  \n    • Connect with others who are res
 ponding to the call for Transition  \n    • Connect with the heart of what 
 may be the most important\, \n        most inspirational movement in the wo
 rld!  \n\nCurriculum: The course includes the "fundamentals" for those wish
 ing to know how to set up\, run\, and maintain a successful Transition Init
 iative. It is packed with imaginative and inspiring ways to delve into both
  the theory and practice of Transition\, providing training in the basics o
 f Transition for new communities coming on board.  \n\nWho should attend: T
 ransition Initiative leaders\, steering group members\, working group membe
 rs\, and those considering Transition in their communities (whether in Mont
 pelier or beyond!).  \n\nInstructors: This Training for Transition (T4T) co
 urse will be taught by Alastair Lough\, PhD and Patricia Proulx-Lough\, MS 
 LMFT\, co-founders of the Transition Movement in the US\, and principals of
  the Transition Center in Portland\, Maine.  Together they bring decades of
  experience in natural resources\, the psychology of change\, organizationa
 l behavior\, group facilitation\, visioning processes\, event planning and 
 leadership.  \n\nSchedule:  \nSat\, March 7\, 9:00 registration\; workshop 
 runs 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.\, (1 hr lunch break). \nSun\, March 8\, the wor
 kshop runs 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.\, (1 hr lunch break). \n\nCost: Tentative
 ly. $215 per person\, yet to be confirmed\, depending on venue.  We conscio
 usly work to keep costs low\, and the course affordable. Some partial schol
