We'll be preparing the soil and starting to plant seeds.

Bring seeds, plants, gardening hand tools, food and drinks.

It’s time to plant peas, potatoes, brassicas such as  turnips and kale, lettuces would be good, swiss chard, and spinach. The list is long. Bring your seeds to plant and we can determine if it’s time for them to go in the ground or not.

Come earlier or stay longer if you wish.

"Many hands make light work"... so true last Saturday on Cool Ln. It was a fun day with people coming early and staying late, being chased off by the impending rain clouds bearing down and finally dumping down on us as we cleaned up and put things away but not before ground was worked, seeds planted and wood chips spread! We still need to create more garden spaces for those who might be feeling they were left out! Stay tuned for week day work days as well. I feel the growing energy... come on out and ad yours to the mix!

I had a great time today. Working together to prepare the soil was not only great exercise but a wonderful learning experience.

Bring your pitch forks for wood chip handling, shovels, landscape rakes, wheel barrows and any unusual handtools you want to show off. We'll have a few sythes and a couple Magna Grecia hoes which will amaze you with their efficiency and capability!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
