Free event sponsored by the MN State Horticultural Society just outside the gates of the big home show at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
"Planting and Saving Heirloom Seeds" is the full title of the talk. I'm not sure of the end time, but allow at least an hour.
Diane Ott Whealy, co-founder and vice-president of Seed Savers Exchange in Decorah, Iowa, will present this free program. You do not have to buy a ticket to the home and garden show to attend this presentation. It will be held in Room 103, just outside the show floor.
Repeated on Sun., Mar. 3 at 11:30 am (when parking at meters downtown is free, and there will be door prizes, too....)
The horticultural society notes that Seed Savers Exchange seeds will be available for purchase during the entire Minneapolis Home and Garden Show through the Minnesota State Horticultural Society in that same Room 103.
MSHS is a nonprofit organization that was formed in 1866 as an association of fruit growers who took on the challenge of growing apples and other fruits in a northern climate. More info about MSHS at: tinyurl[dot]com/MSHS-history
