I'd love to meet everyone, but I hesitate to drive 60 miles to discuss (among other things) about how we shouldn't be driving so much. But I would like to share a link to a guest post by James Howard Kunstler on Chris Martenson's site:
Very insightful comments by JHK, I think.

I have found this group to be a possible counter to the North Metro suburbian blues of which "the net effect of all that was the stupendous loneliness, monotony, atomization, superficiality, and boredom of suburbia’s social vacuum." Great essay on the surburbs. And Gauss, I can relate to the reluctance of driving to discuss not driving, which is why I am grateful for this group that allows me to walk or bike to discuss not driving. Just a thought on the driving, maybe if other folks are interested, we could take the meeting on the road, car pool to some of the other North Metro Locations to accomodate others??

Great article, I have been listening to his podcast for about two years now. And I understand your point about driving so far. I agree with Tom that carpooling could be a solution, maybe you could round up a few friends to carpool with to the meeting? Otherwise you can still make important contributions to the group by using the forum at http://cloverculture....

Some great conversation at the last gathering. Looking forward to the next one.
