Announcing a new Meetup for Transition Towns Minneapolis/St. Paul!

What: Building Skin-On-Frame and Cedar Strip Kayaks

When: Monday, September 20,[masked]:00 PM

Where: REI - Bloomington
750 W American Blvd
Bloomington, MN 55420

"Re-skilling" is one of the activities involved with relocalization and scaling back to sustainable levels of consumption. Re-skilling means strengthening the presence of traditional practical skills in a community by the process of some people learning them from others who still know how to do them.

If you like to kayak and are on the Transition path, perhaps you would like to learn how to build your own.

From the REI website:
Looking for a fall or winter project? This program by Inland Sea Kayakers will explore building methods and design characteristics for home-built boats and show some examples of what can be built.

Free, no registration required.
