reminder about event posting guidelines

Hi all,

The Transition Towns meetup is a non-commercial online space run by volunteers for a community of people who are working in community. The purpose is to publicize events by and for not-for-profit organizations.

Just a quick reminder about the Transition Towns group's event guidelines, a general summary of which follows:

--Non-commercial events only

  • sponsored by non-profit organization(s)
  • any monies collected will benefit one or more non-profit groups or organizations
  • information is of a non-commercial nature

--Free or very low cost ($0 to $10 or so) events

In this way, we can be free of the commercial messages that come at us from just about every other direction. Thanks for keeping to the spirit of our group!
