PATH is a platform for like-minded individuals to connect and facilitate relationships to transition their Philadelphia area neighborhoods into relocalized, carbon-neutral and energy independent communities. The Transition Movement is made up of people working together to make their communities resilient in the face of peak oil, climate change, food desertification and economic segregation.
- Facilitate positive change in Philadelphia area neighborhood communities
- Foster contact between different networks of activity to find common goals
- Encourage communities to self-organize
The meet-ups in this group are designed to foster peer-to-peer information exchange on topics such as energy independence, divestment, keeping money in communities, cooperatives, public transportation infrastructure, food sovereignty, inner transition and community building, to name a few. If these things interest you, then this is your group!
Please bear with us as we roll out our new meet up program. Be sure to follow PATH on FB and Twitter and if your neighborhood has an initiative, reach out to those facilitators to join. The PATH site will be under construction soon. We can’t wait to meet up with you!
If you would like to establish a new neighborhood, please visit this page for more info and resources. And let PATH know when you do, so we can add it to the list above and include your events!
I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
