Hi, my name is Owen
What is your native language and what language pairs do you wish to study?
My native language is English. I would be interested in studying Spanish and French.
How did you learn your other languages? (NOTE: This group requires ADVANCED skills.)
I studied Spanish all through high school, majored in it in college; while in college, I lived abroad in Mexico and Spain. Over the years, I have spoken Spanish in New York City as part of my daily life. I started learning French in 2001, first by cassette, then by taking classes at the French Institute.
Do you have any previous translation experience--either professionally or as a student?
I took English to French translation at the French Insitute and one introductory course at NYU in Spanish to English translation. At work, I have used my language skills for both interpreting and translating.
What subject matter would you like to study? (Ex.: legal, medical, political, literary)
History, politics, economics.

As of now, Monday, Wednesday evenings.
