Let's experience a little piece of Morocco~Happy Hour & Belly Dancing

  • It might be raining so we will be inside waiting come on in
  • In Casablanca, where Tanjia owner Jamal Zahid grew up, his neighborhood was his extended family. At dinnertime, behind the doorways of his street, he could always find a friendly greeting, hospitality and a home cooked meal. “In Morocco, sharing food is about connecting with people,” he explains. “So when I see the restaurant full and people happy, laughing and interacting, it makes me feel at home.”

Tanjia incorporates that sense of home and community both in the look and feel of the restaurant as well as the food; many of the dishes on the menu at Tanjia are straight from Jamal’s mother’s kitchen. “My mother had a reputation on our street for making the best couscous,” he recollects. “She had a process that was very special, very personal to her, and so everything we do at Tanjia has to have that personal touch.”

Come experience Tanjia for yourself with Moroccan flavors and culture. Who know's maybe a future trip is in store.

Tanjia offers a Moroccan Happy Hour from 5:00-10:00 and on Thursday's they also feature a live Belly Dancing show around 7:30. You can check out the HH menu by clicking here. If you prefer to have more then happy hour then you can select from either the 'A La Carte or full dinner menu. They have HH drink specials as well as a full wine-beer-soft drink selections.

Marta, dancing starts around 7:30ish I am not sure how long they dance so I would not be able to say if they would still be doing so when you arrive. I am not sure how long everyone will plan on staying once the dancing has ended as we will have already eaten. Those of you on the yes list can you confirm that you will still be attending and at 7:00 so I know who to expect? Thanks
