Coffee & Europe

We're excited to announce our new Travel & Culture event! Every month (in addition to our dinner meetup) we'll meet at a coffee shop with a specific continent/region to be the topic of discussion.

This months topic: Europe! The location is Caffeine Dreams.

If you think you can attend please post in the comment field a quick introduction on if you have advice to give, or if you're looking for advice, and what countries in Europe you'll address or ask about.

Everyones welcome, especially people who have experience and have traveled around Europe, and people who want to go to Europe. This is the perfect place to go if you want travel advice for a specific city or place, or if you have been to a place and have stories, photos, advice.

We're very excited to start this, there's so many people in Omaha who are looking for travel advice & information, it's a great way to inspire travel!

I have been on a cruise to Bahamas. Don't consider myself to be expert of that island ;). Important info - all needed was passport and no visa. I can share any info needed.

As always with a Travel and Culture group in Omaha, it was an awesome night out with like-minded people. Taking the time to meet everyone can be a difficult task, as there is such a depth of knowledge, wayward traveling experience with a diverse of background with a combination that creates a wealth of valuable information. I’m looking forward to the next meetup.com of this awesome group of like-minded individuals that have the traveling experience of places and stories of their collective adventures, and to continue my quest of planning my experience of the world in travel and culture.

Hi everyone, I'm an English guy currently living/working here in Nebraska, looking forward to boring you to death with all you want to know about the UK. Have traveled to a few European countries, predominantly Spain where a lot of my family are from.

And I can never refuse a decent cup of coffee!

Random question but is someone going earlier to grab tables and such? I study at the Dream and it is usually hard to get tables, couches etc for larger groups....just cause people spread out when they grab tables for themselves. Another meetup group tried to have a board game night there once and had to move to Panera since there was no room for a group. Just wanted to check.

The reservation was made a couple weeks ago, I've been working with the general manager to make sure they stay updated with the number of people attending etc. :)

Hi! Last summer I was given an exciting opportunity to study abroad - Loved it, as I knew I would! I am looking to maintain that excitement & curiosity of experiencing diverse cultures & people by getting more involved.

Hi! Would love to attend. I've been to Spain a couple of times and am looking to go to Italy for the third time this fall. I probably won't be able to get there until sometime after 7PM. Can anyone tell me how long you are usually there?

    • Jamie T.

Hi Julie, Caffeine Dreams is open until 11pm so people are free to stay as long as they want to and to leave whenever. Personally I have work in the morning so I'll probably be around until 9pm or so. I'm so excited to talk to you about Italy! See you there!

Sounds exciting - I lived in France for a year and just got back from a trip through France and Spain in October.
