New Orleans is an amazing, ABSOLUTELY one-of-a-kind city. This is a city that marches to the beat of it's own drummer. Literally. From Voodoo to beignets, from jazz to plantations, from cemeteries to the stories they hold, New Orleans is a strong, vibrant, multi-faceted city and one that any good traveler should not want to miss.
Added Bonus: Our trip will coincide with the super-fun French Quarter Festival! This is largest FREE music festival in the South, an extravaganza of food and jazz and jazz and food. Brunch, music, lunch, music, dinner, music. There really is no other reason to go anywhere else. And yet we will. We'll take advantage of as many of the culinary offerings as we can. Well, that's what this trip is all about: The city, the vibe and the food. We're going to N'awlins, lovelies!

Day 1 - Thursday (4/12/12): Depart LaGuardia Airport for Louis Armstrong International Airport, New Orleans, Louisiana

Culinary History Tour:
This walking and tasting tour of the French Quarter will immerse you in the history of New Orleans and how its unique cuisine evolved. We tour select historic restaurants and discuss their culinary contributions - including the two oldest (Antoine's and Tujague's, established in 1840 and 1856, respectively).
Visitors will learn to appreciate the differences between Creole and Cajun cuisine, and will hear of the varied ethnic influences that contribute to New Orleans cuisine.

In addition to the tastings, the tour also passes such notable landmarks as St. Louis Cathedral and Jackson Square in the historic French Quarter, home to beautiful architecture and fascinating history.
Day2 - Friday (4/13/12): Arrive in Cape Town; Transfer to Winchester Mansion;
Day at Leisure
Suggestion: Take a moment to get to know your surroundings. Enjoy a free guided walking tour, visit Cafe du Monde for a beignet and a coffee or, better still, take in some free Jazz at the French Quarter Festival. Once the sun sets, perhaps you'd like to be spooked and haunted on a Voodoo or Haunted History tour. It is Friday, the 13th after all. Whatever you decide, the day is yours to do what you wish!

Day 3 - Saturday (4/14/12):
Day at Leisure
Suggestion: After breakfast, perhaps you'd like to do a little shopping in the French Market or perhaps take a trolley to Magazine Street to find the unique and the hip in fashion. If shopping isn't your cup of tea, don't forget the French Quarter Festival. Oh wait! Did I mention the casino? Ooh, ooh! What about a riverboat ride? There's sooo much to do! I'm sure your day will be exactly what you want it to be.
Evening: Haunted Happy Hour Pub Crawl! Let's Get Spooky-Wasted!
Evening: Group Dinner at Restaurant TBD (extra charge)
Day 4 - Sunday(4/15/12):
Day at Leisure
Suggestion: Today is the day! Today is the day! The World's Largest Jazz Brunch is exactly where you want to be today. Have a po'boy for breakfast. Have some gumbo for brunch. No worries. This is a no judgment zone. ;-)

Day 5 -Monday (4/16/12) :
Morning at Leisure
Suggestion: Before we leave the warm and welcoming arms of NOLA, perhaps take a carriage tour of the city or visit a plantation. This is your last morning in N'awlins. Let's make it count.
Afternoon:
Due to depart at 3:30 p.m. for the airport, we leave New Orleans with fond memories and a fond farewell. Bon soir, N'awlins. Until next time.

What is the total price for a single - I see it says $1350 a person, but what is the $750? Thanks!
