Join Travis Audubon for this special Meetup-only event at our beautiful Baker Sanctuary!
What is geocaching? It's an outdoor recreational activity in which participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver to find hidden containers, or caches, that generally contain a logbook and small items to be collected and traded. Geocaching is a fun and exciting way to spend a few hours out in nature and get better acquainted with the world around you.
No experience is necessary to participate in this family-friendly event! Our Sanctuary Steward will train participants to use a compass and GPS unit, which will be loaned to them for the event. There will be four routes with varying levels of difficulty, but all participants must be able to walk 1 to 3 miles on potentially varying terrain.
Please bring your own refillable water bottle (water will be available) and sunscreen or bug spray, if desired. And don't forget your binoculars!
Registration limited to sixteen people, so don't wait to sign up!
