Here in Bristol we're creating a unique way to contribute to ONE BILLION RISING: a global movement to end violence to women. On V-DAY (14 Feb) we're holding an evening of dance bringing men and women together to inspire the Rising to this cause. This event is FREE, please forward it to all your local friends.
The intention of the evening is to help us move beyond blame into a place where we can rise as allies to create a new possibility
We'll be using a range of different movement practices that explore the masculine and feminine in all of us. This is a unique, first time, global stand against violence to women, please come and bring all your friends to help Bristol contribute to the 1 Billion target. We've been given a really great space that can hold a lot of people. You do not need to be a dancer or have any movement experience at all, just a desire to be yourself, show up and be part of this.
Starts at 7pm, NO ADMITTANCE after 7.30pm
Ends at 10.00pm, tea and cake afterwards
Wear comfortable clothes, bare feet or soft shoes (no heels) and bring water.
This event is facilitated by Jewels Wingfield, Bernadette Ryder and Clare Dakin
