Should We Partner with Religious Organizations?

As we develop a strategy for our charitable work the question came up about working with non-secular organizations. The discussion will focus on what secular charities are working in our area, what current volunteer programs can we help with and how we should proceed from here.

I have attended meet-ups in other cities. It refreshing to exhaange ideas and converse with like-minded people without feeling it necessary to mask my athiesm. I am hesitant to attend your meeting because it sounds more like a club with obligations. There are an abundance of service organizations.

These monthly meetings do tend to be a bit more structured, so if that's not quite your style, you may be interested in our other group, Drinking Skeptically. That's more of a social gathering, totally unstructured, and with wine/beer. :)
