For anyone new to town or has somehow missed this, it is a great cultural aspect to the town. Never have you seen exactly how rural this place is until you see it packed for bull riding. There is a barely professional bull riding association that puts on bull riding every Tuesday from January into April. It is a family event and a good time. I have gone several times the last few years.
Although it officially starts at 7pm, we need to get there early to get seats. I suggest getting there closer to 6:30pm. The bull riding is held in a large metal building, so it is as cold as it is outside, come prepared. Let me know if you have any questions.
This meetup is also posted in the Abingdon Area Transplants group. RSVP to either group to get comments and any additional details.
