Tri County started Beach Night on July 6, 2010. 12 people showed up and we played Apples to Apples. Fun was had by all. Here we are almost 4 years later and it is now the World Famous Tri County Beach Night. Some things have changed over the years and some things have not. Things are starting to slow down in Delray. The tourists are starting to pack up and the weather is getting warmer and the nights are getting longer. Below is a excerpt of the description of the first beachnight. The parking meters are a little more expensive and there is parking across the street at Anchor Park. Let's enjoy this summer. We will be having beach night every Tuesday in Delray Beach.

Hey Everybody, BSD here! I have been going to this beach for the past couple of weeks. I put my beach chair down right on the tide line and watch the waves as the high tide comes in. It is the most relaxing happy two hours I spend on my Tuesdays and I want you to be a part of it. This beach is so tranquil and peaceful and open to anything. Bring a small cooler and your beach chair. It's that simple! If you want to play some volleyball, the beach courts are available and lined for play. This is not the focus but it is there if you want to play. Directions are simple and bring quarters. The meters stop at 8pm and it doesn't get dark till about 9pm. Take Linton Blvd all the way to A1A. Turn left heading north. You will travel 1.2 miles until you pass Casuarina Road. There are parking meters on the right hand side. Try to park there. Quarters until 8pm @ 15 minutes for 1 quarter = $1.50. If you can't find a spot there is parking across the street @ Anchor park but that closes at sunset. So it depends on how long you want to stay. It is is a great opportunity to sit and talk and enjoy each others company. Please be considerate to all parties joining us. Please read the About page if you are new to this group. We are not going to go out and eat afterward, so bring whatever you like to eat in your cooler. If anyone has any suggestions I am open to it. If we get enough RSVPs I will bring my portable table and we can put our drinks on there to chill out. We probably will not stay out any longer than 9pm. Firstly because of the turtles nesting and secondly cuz y'all gotta get home eventually. Keeping it real.. Big Sexy Dave[masked]
