H2OMBRE! Are you ready to Brave the Elements?

H2OMBRE! Are you ready to Brave the Elements?

Question: What has 6,000 gallons of water, (necessarily) waterproof lighting, actors who “dance” in the air and a dress code so casual that, yeah, you could show up in your bathing suit?

It is the heart-pumping electronic music, aerial acrobatics, extravagant visuals, transforming the Center into an alternate universe where the audiences step onto the stage and are engulfed in a 360 degree experience!

BRAVE THE ELEMENTS: By entering the theater you agree to become a participant in the show and to “Brave the Elements." This production is an immersive experience. Audience movement throughout the space and interaction with cast members is part of this production.

Water, strobe lights, loud music and atmospheric effects will be used during this performance. Please be aware that it is highly likely that you will come into direct contact with certain physical elements of the show; water for example.

Water is used throughout the performance. Please do not enter the Arena unless you are willing to get wet. Management recommends comfortable clothes and rubber-soled shoes. Please watch your step at all times, the floor may be wet. Except for backpacks and bags with cross-body straps, purses aren’t permitted (check them or buy an inexpensive backpack at the theater). Ponchos are available for rent.

The audience will enter from the theater’s loading dock located on NE 14th Street.

Ticket Prices:

Dance Floor –$65 each
General Admission -Standing Room Only –you will be located on the stage closest to the performers. Be warned you may get wet! The performance is one hour without any intermission breaks.

When purchasing your tickets on-line. I would suggest you also reserve your parking. It will save you the hassle of running around looking in the area for a place to park. The parking lot is located next to the Center.

To reserve your spot go directly to the website http://www.arshtcenter.org/

We will meet around 6:15pm /6:30pm on the corner of NE 14th Street and NE 2nd Ave. I will be standing next the planter. Doors open 1 hour prior to the show. For the Dance Floor again there is no assigned area but hopefully if we get their early enough we can all be together for this experience.

After the show for those that would like to join we are off to Midtown Miami. For a bite to eat and drinks. They offer some great dining options.

I was at the technical dress rehearsal on July 15 as the guest of one of the Arscht volunteers who comprised the dress rehearsal audience. This show is totally different from anything most people have experienced. A whole lot of fun. I dressed very casual with no accomodation to the water and managed to stay mostly dry . If you miss this, you will probably regret it.
