Jazz at the Greenwich with food

OK so those who have been in this group know I am not usually this disorganized. Trying to find a substitute for a hike at 10pm causes for problems. I had no idea the museum exhibit was delayed and just found info on tonight's performance at Greenwich. Anyway, I finally got details for the Greenwich and it turns out there is a $12 admission fee which includes food. I see no reason to do dinner if they will have food at the club, though I suspect it will be light bites. The other night they offered Chinese food.  So new plan and I won't change it again.  We will meet at the Greenwich at 830 pm for jazz. The band is Mocha led by Lavieena Campbell. Here is a clip of her sound.

We will meet at 8 to have drinks and socialize. Music starts at 9pm.

    Hi Desiree!
Thank you so much for all the trouble you have gone through to organize a fun get-together tonight!
I just can't fit much of anything into my budget at this time, so I will have to pass on this evening.

I would be interested in dinner before, anyone else game?

How about teak Thai cuisine? It is in mount Adams and is about 10 minutes away from Greenwich? 1051 St Gregory St, Cincinnati. They have sushi and seafood and not overly costly.

Got some emails from folks concerned about the food offered. I have never been there when food was offered and the ad doesn't specify types. I would expect appetizers or small bites. I think the other night they had Chinese food when we were there. You are welcome to do dinner at Andy's, Brewhouse Mt. Adams or any place nearby, but I cannot afford to do Andy's and Jazz. Right now it is not in my budget to do both so I choose jazz. I plan to eat a little something just in case what's offered is not vegetarian.

The Greenwich is at e edge of town just down from Eden Park. Literally if you take the Eden Park exit from 71 downtown, when you reach the light at Gilbert that takes you into Eden Park, go Left. (right is Mt Adams) It is not the greatest area ie why it's historic, so I recommend arriving 8ish while its daylight. We can always walk folks to their car when they need to leave. There was a PNC bank right there you can probably park at or street parking.

May not join after all since the other two portions of the evening fell through. I just looked up the directions and it's a 1hr. 15 min. drive. Is there anyone in the Dayton area interested in carpooling?? thanks for organizing Desiree, sounds fun!

Sorry, not really interested in jazz...have fun.

Don't go downtown much....any recommendations for parking?

    July 6, 2013

    • Kathie

Hi Michael. For 21C/nada/fusion-- There is a parking garage further down 7th street that a lot of people park in. I usually park in a pay lot at the corner of 8th and walnut. I have never been to the jazz club on Gilbert so can't help much there-- see you tonight :) Kathie
