****IF YOU'RE NOT A BIG HIKER...NO PROBLEM...YOU CAN TAKE THE EASY TRANSIT SYSTEM IN PORTLAND****
Join me for an 8-night adventure exploring Portland, Rockaway Beach, and Columbia Gorge. We'll travel by bus, train and/or private shuttle to each destination.
Our trip starts in Portland, where big city excitement and small town charm make "the City of Roses" a favorite destination in the West. Portland's historic old town, galleries and museums, Saturday Market, theatre companies, local pubs and brew houses, and lush green parks give visitors a variety of wonderful things to see and do!
Our agenda includes: exploring Downtown, Old Town, Chinatown, and the Pearl, along with bicycle riding, hiking in a nearby forest, riding an old time trolley, strolling along the Waterfront Park with its outdoor cafes and river walks and filling our sights and senses with the aroma of flowers at the world famous Rose Garden!
One of the highlights of the trip is a visit to Columbia Gorge, where we’ll have a guided hiking tour to see breathtaking waterfalls/wild flowers and finish with an afternoon of wine tasting where more than 30 Wineries and 45+ Vineyards of the Columbia Gorge wine growing region take full advantage of the amazingly diverse growing conditions which allow for a wide variety of grapes to be grown and produced into world-class wines.
Finally, we’ll head to the Beach for a few days of rest and relaxation! Rockaway Beach has 7 miles of uninterrupted beach to explore, hike, or jog on.
