Lets travel north on SR 75 to Dayton!
Join what has become a tradition for Dayton’s paddle sports community,The Wednesday Nite Paddle down our local waterway, the Mad River. Enjoy the transition from an urban wilderness to the downtown Dayton skyline.
We paddle approximately three miles of what is considered “moving water” from Eastwood MetroPark to the Keowee Street Bridge. This river trip generally takes 1¼ to 1½ hours. Shuttles leave from Whitewater Warehouse at approximately 5:30 and 6:15. Equipment and shuttle slots are available on a first comefirst serve basis. Dress to get wet, and be ready to have some Fun!

If you have your own Kayak, cost for the shuttle is $5.
If you need to rent a kayak, they are available for
$20, includes kayak, pfd, paddles!
What To Bring – Kayak, paddle, PFD and all your summer gear, dry clothes, dry shoes, safety equipment, (Whistle, Rope) lights, sun glasses, hats
Restrooms – Toilets at the warehouse.

SPEED/DISTANCE: 1 to 1 1/2 hour leisure paddle!

SAFETY SIGN IN: Everyone will sign in before
launching: your name, Emergency contact person and phone number. I realized if someone required 911, I do not know last names or who to call. This list is kept
in my dry bag during the paddle, then shredded when I get home. Hopefully we will never have to use it. :D
