We have talked about peddle/paddling for a while..... lets do it!!
Armleder park to Schmidt Field, then dinner at Eli's!!
* Peddling is not necessary... you may shuttle as usual.
But the rest of us will unload Kayaks, paddles ect & passengers at the Armleder Park ramp near the Little Miami. I plan to unload my chain and lock here, to use later. The drivers will take the Vehicles and Bikes to Schmidt field. Parking on the upper half of the lot is free. Peddlers will ride as a group back to Armleder park, crossing Kelloge at a red light. This is a flat easy peddle, maybe 6 or 7 miles.
Those without bikes will shuttle as usual (In a vehicle)
Please bring a lock, cable or chain to secure your bike at the park, while we paddle down the little Miami, to the Ohio River.
The last time we ran this strip, there were some fun little rapids. Most of us got damp. You might want to wear your skirt, waterproof pants or lay plastic across your lap.
We will paddle in a group to the Ohio River, turn right (West) and head to Schmidt field to load up.
Eli's is a short distance (Walk or drive) east of Schmidt field.

SAFETY SIGN IN: Everyone will sign in before launching: your name, Emergency contact person and phone number. I realized if someone required 911, I do not know last names or who to call. This list is kept in my dry bag during the paddle, then shredded when I get home. Hopefully we will never have to use it. :D
