Annual Cincy Paddlers Party

Important reminder! You must also send an e-mail to [masked] to RSVP. Just clicking on RSVP here on this page will not officially RSVP you.

Get together with your paddling pals and meet some new ones, while we party away the mid-winter blues with this traditional blast. Newbies shouldn't even hesitate, as you'll find the group very warm and welcoming. And, you'll get to put the faces together with the names. You'll also meet the gang from Roads, Rivers and Trails, who are sponsors of the big bash.

The festivities launch 7:00 pm, Friday January 24th at Raffel's Catering, 10160 Reading Road in Evendale, conveniently located off I-75 and very easy to get to. Just exit at Glendale-Milford Road, head east to the first major intersection (Reading Road), turn right, go about a mile and look for the Raffel's sign (red print on white background) on the left.

Bring your DVDs of past Cincypaddlers events to reminisce (no instructional, etc. DVDs please – this is a party, not a workshop). We'll have a player and monitor. There will also be door prizes (get your free raffle ticket when you pay admission at the door). The prize drawing is at 8:00pm (pick up your ticket by 7:45). Finger food is provided; cash bar. Dress is paddler casual.

The admission for advanced RSVP is $15/person. Email me by 1/19 with your head count at [masked] with your head count (use this email, not a response on the board) and pay at the party . Mail it in if you don't show up, since we're ordering food based on your RSVP. Admission without advanced RSVP is $20, so save some dough by emailing early. Pay me at the party – don't mail it in (UNLESS YOU NO-SHOW, because we do order the food based upon RSVP count, so the admission is still due).

It's always the big party of the year and a whole lot of fun so don't miss out this year. RSVP by 1/19. Last year, we came close to the room capacity, so RSVP early to ensure there's a space available for you. Photos from last year's big event:

Aww, last years' pics looked like too much fun! Have to miss. Dinner with friends. Us newbies are waiting for warmer weather before venturing out on the water.

Those who RSVPed per the instructions get a free raffle ticket when they pay their discounted admission at the door, 7:00-7:45. It'll speed things up for you if you don't wait until the last minute and have the exact amount ($15/person) ready.

Tomorrow (Sunday) is the last day to RSVP for the big paddlers' party of the year. An RSVP gets you a $5 discount on admission and a free raffle ticket (lots of prizes - looks like at least half of RSVPs will walk out with something). If you enjoyed the fun and making all the new paddling contacts at the swap meet, you'll love the party. RSVP today, per the instructions above.

Three days left to RSVP for the big party. Please use the method specified in the posting (use that email address). An RSVP gets you a free raffle ticket and the way the poor prizes are piling up, most should walk away with one.

I should've been more specific. It's beneficial to click the RSVP on this board because others can see which friends are attending. But, that doesn't register you for the party. Please also follow the instructions for that in the posting. This gives the organizer a mode for reaching attendees, should there be any changes necessitated by weather, etc. The annual party is one of the biggest gatherings of local paddlers of the year and an excellent opportunity to network and gain valuable contacts. Lot of fun, too. Hope to see you there.

Please note the method for RSVPing in the announcement above. Thank you.
