Im really liking Foley (Santa Barbara area) Pinot Noirs lately. A very pretty wine once opened up for about 20 minutes, it's luscious and good with food, cheese, or by itself. It just dont last long in my house! K&L (Redwood City, SF and LA). The staff are very helpful in introducing wines when Im unsure what to try next. Many times, for Friday tastings, the wines I bring are from their recomendations.
I was in the US Navy when I was younger and was deployed on Aircraft Carriers. These took me around the world a couple times, i truely enjoyed learning about so many cultures and how many humanitarien missions the Navy really embarks upon. Through this learned how great this country really is.
Gardening, cooking, hang out with my dogs (3 Shih-Tzus)study history (a class I used to sleep in when in HS.)
Food, Friends, Family, not necessarilly in that order. Techy guy that enjoys most situations i find myself in.
I love cooking food and pairing with yummy wines, and love to share experiences and learn from others. Slo-Smoked briskets and ribs, I have been practicing this for many years. I almost got it down, and always looking for taste testers, want some?
I like this group. I dont do a lot of meetups and this is organized very well. The people are very cool!
