Do you have a delicious fruit harvest that needs preserving? Do you want to learn how to make wine from your own backyard? Come join us for a potluck and beginner's home brewing lesson.
We'll have blackberry and peach wines available for sampling, a putluck pitcher of sangria, some of our home-brewed beer, and some nibbles.
What we'll do:
We'll show you how to brew wine from foraged blackberries, and then we'll bottle another batch from a carboy (a large bottle that the wine is fermented and aged in). We will answer all of your questions about home brewing, and will provide a recipe for your own batch.
Please be advised that we're located in Surrey, so you may wish to carpool.
Weekend in late August
What should I bring:
Your favorite bottle wine, some fruit for the sangria, some food to share.
PS: There will be people from the Home Brewers Meetup as well http://www.meetup.com/lowermainlandhomebrewers/
