Cheese, Chocolate and Beer Paring w/Lauren Salazar of New Belgium Brewing

World of Beer will be airing a live broadcast with Lauren Salazar of New Belgium Brewing Co.  Lauren is the Wood Cellar Manager/Blender/Sensory Specialist at New Belgium and will take us through a pairing of beer with assorted cheese and chocolates, as well as hosting a Q&A session.  It is recommended you show up early, as the broadcast will start at 7 and you want to get your beer and food set up.  Following is more information from WOB:
New Belgium is providing cheese and chocolate pairings for each of these beers.  The 1st 3 beers will be available to purchase in pints or 4 oz pours.  The Imperial Coffee Chocolate Stout is available only in the 22 oz bomber.  (My recommendation for those who don't want all 22 oz, would be to split one with several other group members, which is what I plan on doing.  Bringing cash will also make this easier.) Below are the pairings:

  1. Fat Tire-

a) Chocolate- salted caramel or toffee

b) Cheese- Gjetost

  1. Ranger IPA-

a) Chocolate- 60% dark cocoa-

b) Cheese- Herbed Chevre

  1. Snow Day-

a) Chocolate- 40% cocoa

b) Cheeseaged Manchego

  1. Imperial Coffee Chocolate Stout-

a) Chocolate- Coconut M&Ms

b) Cheese- Stilton

Event starts at 7pm 1/29 but arriving around 6pm would be best.

During the A/V connection, Lauren Salazar of New Belgium will guide the group through the food and beer pairings and also do a full Q & A.
