For the June Meetup we are featuring Mystery Brewing from Hillsborough, NC. Mystery prides themselves on being rustic, as they do not filter and they do not pasteurize. That cloudiness you see in the beer, that's FLAVOR!
Erik Meyers and Chris Shields brew seasonal beers and many one-offs. They are not afraid to add unique grains, hops, fruits, and spices to create historic styles with modern twists.
Here is the lineup:
Pinafore - a rare one off, a Southern English Brown ale - very light in alcohol, with a light amount of sweetness, and chocolatey without succumbing to roast. It's a beautiful beer, a lovely example of a hard-to-find style
Beatrix- A hoppy, floral saison made for spring with crisp bitterness and dry complexity made with unmalted wheat, Demerera sugar, and a new breeed of hops called Delta - a mix between traditional English Fuggles and American Cascade hops
Berliner Weisse - a single hopped weisse made without wheat, just roasted oats!
Our format is for $10 you will receive 3 - 8oz pours to try all of the beers.
Again we will feature some pub food from Chow, including pizza and sliders. Great tastes to match the beer.
Hope to see you there.
Bottle Mixx is a great store that is striving to get to 1000 labels. As a great feature of a great store, there is a tap tasting area that has local, regional, and national craft brews.
