FOURTH MEETUP OF 2014

Dave Neal, Managing Director of The Startup Factory, will discuss the role of The Startup Factory as a world class Accelerator in the midst of the Triangle's entrepreneurial environment.   Startups receive $50,000 in seed capital, hands-on mentorship, and access to their ever-widening network of active angels, veteran startup founders, and experienced technology experts.

The Startup Factory is a terrific resource to our community--don't miss this presentation!

Non-SAS employees:Please RSVP on the Meetup site by 9am on the day of the Meetup. Guests are welcome. If you can't make it, un-RSVP so somebody else can use your slot. Check in at the front gate when you arrive and follow the map directions to building S.

SAS employees: You do not need to RSVP - just show up. Let Ross Hannah and I know if you can help with hosting or cleaning up.

Smoking is not allowed in the building, but we do have free WiFi available under the SSID "guest". Feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks or use the first floor break room (near the bathrooms on the left as you come in - meeting rooms are to the right).

Presenters and sponsors wanted! If you can present something during a future meetup please contact Bill Walser, Bill Lahti or Mike Thomas--and, of course Ed, Ross, and Luke.

It looks like injuries I sustained riding my bicycle will keep me away from tonight's fun (and possible drawing).

That said, not only will I be there in spirit, but wanted to let folks know that we're going to have an opening over at McClatchy Interactive for an Android developer as we re-factor and re-launch mobile offerings.

So if you want to be part of this effort, let me know. We are looking for someone who is experienced at the enterprise level to help us as we serve over 40 daily newspapers, and 20 to 30 of their 'niche' apps for ... just for starters.

Yeah, it's gonna be fun. So let me know, and see y'all in the May meeting.
