TriDroid@SAS

For our April meetup, Ray Lore (IBM retired) will present an Android app that enables remote monitoring of business processes running on multiple remote servers. This app features a home screen widget that graphically depicts processing status and provides customizable exception notifications.

Non-SAS employees: Please RSVP on the meetup site by 9am on the day of the meetup. Guests are welcome. If you can't make it, un-RSVP so somebody else can use your slot. Check in at the front gate when you arrive and follow the map directions to building S.

SAS employees: You do not need to RSVP - just show up. Let Ross Hannah and I know if you can help with hosting or cleaning up.

Smoking is not allowed in the building, but we do have free WiFi available under the SSID "guest". Feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks or use the first floor break room (near the bathrooms on the left as you come in - meeting rooms are to the right).

Presenters wanted! If you can present something during a future meetup please contact Ed, Ross, and Luke.

This was my first public presentation since retiring from IBM.
The warm, friendly, and very smart TriDriods made me feel right at home.
I really enjoyed the engaging questions, insightful suggestions, and useful feedback I received.
I was really touched by the folks who said they were new to Android development and were inspired by my presentation to move forward on their ideas.
I look forward to the next meetup for more interaction with my TriDroid friends and allies. Ray

Wow! I really learned a lot. This session provided a roadmap for me to get started in mobile application development. I have worked with eclipse and java but had not put the pieces together. This session with a practical example really helped a lot. I am excited about getting started.

Learned a lot about the process from concept to finish on an android app, as well as some user option considerations that i had overlooked.
