Met HD Live: La Boheme (Puccini)

Puccini’s moving story of young love is the most performed opera in Met history—and with good reason. Anita Hartig stars as the frail Mimì in Franco Zeffirelli’s classic production, with Vittorio Grigolo as her passionate lover, Rodolfo. - Metropolitan Opera

Beautiful, movingly performed. There was added drama with Opolais stepping in on a few hours notice, without rehearsal, she having debuted in Madame Butterfly the evening before.
I can't imagine I'll ever get tired of Boheme, with its beauty, the complexity of its writing.

Singing excellent but conducting was horrific!

La Boheme is one of most beloved and most performed opera in the repertory. The Franco Zeffirelli production is lavish. Act I, scene 2 is spectacular with dozens of people on stage, and Musetta's entrance is always hilarious. If you don't know this opera, consider it a "must".
