Profile Trail Hike - Spring - Grandfathrt Mountain - 7 to 8 miles - Very Strenuous.

This is a very strenuous hike and VERY ROCKY. This is an in and out hike. We will be going up Profile trail and toward MacRae Peak and then back down the Profile trail.

We will not be going up or down any Ladders.

Driving time from Greensboro to the trail head is over 2 hours.

This is a REAL trail - you can wear shorts if you want.

Please be prepared for an all day adventure.

This adventure will truly be totally unforgettable.

Note:

Please wear hiking boots and I do highly recommend that you bring a walking stick or poles.

Bring your backpack or something to carry your food, snacks and water in. Make sure you have enough water or other drinks with you. Bring rain gear just in case of rain.

CARPOOL GREENSBORO: I will be near Dick's Sporting Goods and the Dress Barn at Wendover Plaza, 1208-A Bridford Parkway. Please meet there at 7:45AM. We will leave Greensboro 8:00AM SHARP!

CARPOOL WINSTON: We meet at Centre Stage Shopping Center's Parking Lot (305 Jonestown Road, Winston-Salem, NC). Here's a map to help you find the carpool location (map). I will be parked near Burger King facing Jonestown Rd. If I am not there yet, I will be coming. Get there by 8:20AM. We will leave from there at 8:35 SHARP.

Warning! Please be on time. If you come late we will be gone.

Remember that this a leisurely hike with no fast hiking. We will take time to enjoy nature and the beautiful surroundings.

It is wonderful hiking. Both Dave and Steve might have been a little disappointed. No chance to use ropes to rescue . Only my guess. My hiking skill has been growing with the great group. Be grateful .

I really hate to miss this one, but I just got an invitation to camp out on Friday night and help work on the Caudill Cabin trail with members of the Caudill family. Hope you all have a great hike and I have a great first camping trip.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
