Interested in meeting other gay/lesbian/queer twenty-somethings but tired of or not really interested in the bar/club scene? Then this is the group for you! This group is specifically for LGBTQIA (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, straight allies, etc.) twenty-somethings and thirty-somethings (ages 18-39) who live in the Winston-Salem/Greensboro area who want to meet, hang out with, and have a great time with other LGBT twenty/thirty-somethings outside of the typical bar and club scenes. Group activities can range from simple things like meeting for coffee or eating out a restaurant to going to events, movies, etc.: whatever you want to do. Come on out! (no pun intended....)
Note: to respect the privacy of those who may not be fully out this group has been made private so that only members can see who is a part of this group.
We are committed to keeping this a safe, friendly space for LGBTQIA young adults. To do so, this group has the following rules in place:
1) Please do not use this group to send unsolicited messages to our members. This is not an advertising platform or dating website. If you happen to hit it off with someone you meet in the group, great, but save the random messaging for OKCupid. Anyone who breaks this rule will be removed from the group.
If you are receiving unwanted messages, please send a screenshot to one of the organizers, and we will take care of it.
2) If you can't make a meetup, please change your RSVP from "Yes" to "No", preferably more than an hour ahead of the meetup. Members who frequently (3 or more times) miss meetups without canceling may be removed from the group.
3) This group is restricted to LGBTQIA individuals (and allies) aged 18-39 years. Anyone outside of this age range will be removed from the group if they join. If you fall outside this age range and are looking for LGBT social activities, I encourage you to check out the North Star LGBT Community Center (northstarlgbtcc.com) or the Triad LGBTQIA Resource Guide (quennc.com/resources.html).
