Don't Sweat it Yoga with the Jaycees

Need to de-stress? Come try Yoga. Members will practice beginning yoga moves and breathing exercises lead by a yoga instructor. Practicing yoga helps with flexibility and relaxation. There is a heavy focus on breathing which helps bring awareness to the body. Yoga is suitable for beginners and can be done by anyone of any fitness or flexibility level.

Brikram Yoga offers a series of 26 postures and breathing exercises. It is practiced for 90 minutes in a heated room which warms your muscles, prevents injury and helps to cleanse the body of toxins.The estimated cost will be $20 for the studios drop in fee.

Please read through the information on the website about preparing for your first class. Above all, come hydrated and don't eat a heavy meal before hand. Please arrive on time to allow time to register and check in.

    As Catie mentioned above - please read the "prepare" page on the Yoga's website. Just like any other exercise program it is important to make sure you are ready for it and this one especially since it is in a hot environment. It is something really interesting to try and many many of my friends have LOVED doing this type of yoga - hope you all get a chance to try it! :) (also click the "new student" link in here too)
