Free to a good home - English Chocolate Lab

Wanted to pass this along in case anyone knew of a good home or if you are the good home Jasper. He belongs to one of our members and they are looking for a new home for him. Below are all the details if you are interested.

=======================

We are sadly looking to re-home our fun loving 5.5 year old purebred English Lab. I purchased him from a breeder when he was just a puppy but did not file his official AKC papers. His name is Jasper, but we call him a variety of loving nicknames, TUG, Bubba, Big'en, Tugboat, Zilla.

Over the past 5 years our lives have changed and I have not been able to give him the attention and play time he deserves. I am very happy with keeping him as he is very much a part of the family, however, because of our new schedule his day consists mostly of sleeping inside with very little time for outside play and attention so we feel it would be less selfish to find him a home that could give him the activities he so loves. He has been content here, but feel he would be much happier with a family with a yard, farm, open space or someone that is willing to spend more time with him then we can. He is GREAT off a leash and very attentive to his owner's commands. His favorite game is fetch and will find anything in sight worth fetching (large stick as in picture below if you don't have a ball). He will return items and drop at your feet to be thrown again. He is very playful even at 5 years old but can be calm when left alone. He also loves the water as he is a lab. He is housebroken, mostly lived indoors, great with other dogs (ignores cats), good with children except that he sometimes doesn't realize his size and will lean on you.

He is up to date on all vaccines, already neutered, and has had no health issues. We are willing to place Jasper in a good home for free, however he does come with 6 months of heart worm and flea meds as well as his house "kennel" so would like to be compensated for those at $100. This is far less than the price you would pay at any of the other rescue agencies. We would like to meet prospective new families in a public dog park to see the interaction with Jasper first and then would discuss the adoption process from there. If you are interested in meeting Jasper, please call or email to set up an appointment,[masked] or [address removed].

You can also reach this member here on meetup at: Stephanie

You can also shoot me a message at any time.

Thanks,
Sharon
