As I posted in another event, I see restaurant week as a time to try restaurants that may otherwise be cost-prohibitive...and Bin 54 definitely fits the bill. And it's been marked as the News & Observer's pick for "Best Steakhouse in the Triangle" for several years. I made a reservation at Bin 54 for 8 people the Thursday of restaurant week at 6:30pm.
YOU MUST BRING CASH because the restaurant does not split checks. Given the mandatory 20% gratuity for large parties and the sales tax, everyone should have $40 cash (more if you plan to purchase a beverage).
This group hosts dining events and happy hours around the Triangle. We leave no stone unturned--everything from nice restaurants to food trucks and everywhere from Hillsborough to Fuquay-Varina (but with an obvious focus on Raleigh and Durham). This group is designed to be member driven, so we'll cover the foodie things you'd like to try in the Triangle! Members can suggest their own events, and I'm looking for other event organizers as well. Everyone is welcome to join on a dining adventure throughout the region.
A couple notes:
There is a 1-strike policy. If you no-show to an event that you have RSVP'd "Yes" to, you're out. I know things come up, but it's no fun to sit somewhere waiting for people who never show. So, to avoid being kicked out, when you realize you're unable to attend you must update your RSVP to "No" at least 2-hours before the event begins. This will give people on the waiting list a chance to fill your spot. It's really that simple. Most Meetups will have a 3-person minimum. So, if we don't get 3 signed up, we'll reschedule for another time. So bring your friends and make it a nice group outing!
