So bummed we had to miss this because of weather. When is the next one?

      Hey David:
I scraped up into a big box all the seeds that were not taken! We can put together another SEED SWAP, but lookin at the next 30 days weather.. it SUCKS! We can do a SWAP/Pot Luck at our Clubhouse like we did last year. Had a great day 10 Feb 2013, photos at: http://www.meetup.com...-... Will scope out dates ASAP.

I greatly enjoyed this meet-up. Friendly group, interesting slide presentation about Chinese gardens, and tons of seeds from the swap.

Nice people, nice place. The chinese garden talk was not a homesteading topic, but it was good for decorative gardeners

Met some wonderful, warm people there tonight. :)

Hate to miss my first meet up with this group but I live in Hillsborough and have no tread on my tires. Getting new tires next week but wish I already had them!

    January 21, 2014

  • Cande

I'm sad we'll have to miss. We're 45 minutes away and I worry about driving conditions and my little compact car.

    January 21, 2014

  • David

Had to change to NO attend because of the weather. Looks like we can get there, but on the way home towards Hillsborough it will be bad. Bummer!

    January 21, 2014

  • Cande

Is the even still on for this evening since the inclement weather is forecast to begin around the time it starts?

    January 21, 2014

  • KWK

I am considering attending this. Does anyone know if there will be adaptivar landrace seeds there, specifically corn? I am looking for a pre-diversified source.

Anybody can bring RADISH SEEDS for KARL!

W&D: I may not be coming, depending on the weather. I live out in the country where roads are not maintained and I am concerned about the drive.

Changed to no in case weather stops me. Beginner looking for seeds I can plant for food, along with advice.

I'm looking forward to this. I just built a greenhouse and would love to fill it with something real and not burpee.

Our OKRA in 2013 was GIGANTIC, with some 4 inch diameter at ground levet stalks that were over 10 feet tall. We harvested way too much OKRA! Ate it, canned it & gave it away. Will have plenty of those seed pods for adverturous souls to try!

    December 14, 2013

  • Cindy B.

I still have organic okra pods

My daughter, Elizabeth of "Elizabeth's Secret Garden" would like to know if you can purchase seeds as well as swap?

    November 26, 2013

    • Will & D.

Y'all can just come and help your self, no need to purchase. Most all the seeds are saved with LOVE, hoping someone will enjoy them & make things happen in the garden.
