Playdate

There has been a lot of interest in starting a monthly or bimonthly playdate for those TAGAH members with little homesteaders. We're going to start with this date and time and see how it works.

Look for me at the playground area. I have shoulder length brown hair and will be with my son.

I look forward to seeing you!

I LOVE this idea (I have a three year old who loves making new friends!) He has school Wednesday mornings. We are free Mondays and Fridays!

I'd like to suggest having a weekend playdate, and/or mentioning on future meet-up event invitations if little homesteaders are welcome.

Hi, Kelly. We asked for suggestions on times a few weeks ago, but didn't get much of a response so decided to make a date on what little info. we had. If it turns out that weekends work better for most families, we can certainly change our day or have a second meet-up for weekend families.

Hi folks. Our kids are past the playdate age now, but feel free to use Brier Creek Family Farm as your venue. Kids love to come out and see the sheep, goats, rabbits, cows, chickens and pigs. We've large areas for general play. We have an array of tables that can be used for crafts and food and such. We're centrally located in the Triangle, just a couple miles from Brier Creek shopping at Hwy 70 and I-540.

I suggest clothes that can get ruined and closed-toe shoes. If an animal has a mouth, it can bite, if it bites, it poops. We're not responsible for either one. :-) Thanks,

Lee, thanks so much for offering the farm for our playdate. It sounds like a wonderful experience for little homesteaders! We'll see what kind of response we get.

What is the age range for the playdate?

    November 6, 2012

    • Jami

Hi, Cathy. There isn't a specific age requirement for the playdate. All are welcome. If after we meet a few times we find we need separate meetings for different ages we'll create a new date.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
