Everything! At the beginning stages - setting up a garden, baking bread, canning, handmade crafts, etc., In the future backyard chickens, hand dyed natural textiles, and maybe owning a couple goats ... maybe! I want to do it all and then some. I admit, I am an urban city girl but feel that homesteading skills are extremely important. I appreciate knowing how to do things myself rather than not knowing the processes behind things I use daily or relying on some big company to supply what I need. Besides, I get so much pride out of "working" with my hands. Yes, it is hard work and I usually need some sort of motivation! For this reason, I am happy to have been a part of TAGH when it first started and to have met some wonderful people and attended some very insightful workshops. Looking forward to meeting more of you soon!
Interested in gardening and living in harmony with nature. I am passionate about cooking, gardening, decorating, cultural diversity, and community service. I have two adult children and live in the amazing city of Durham with my sweet dog, Develyn.
Many resources and connections that you just can't get from reading a book. Also, great group of people from diverse backgrounds and locations.
