Learn How Bronto Becomes Information Rich

Come out to Bronto and hear how they become information rich by collecting production data and analyzing it.

Ed Dawley of Bronto will be presenting on how Bronto ties splunk, statsd/graphite, cacti, nagios, and custom apps together in order to provide a cohesive view of their production environment. Topics will include collating and visualizing the data, alerting on it, debugging with it, and using that data to influence other automated processes.

Ed Dawley currently manages two teams at Bronto: one overseeing application-focused DevOps and the other responsible for the email sending infrastructure.  Most of his professional experience has been developing software in the LAMP world, with a strong emphasis on scaling MySQL.  Locating and fixing performance bottlenecks are his favorite parts of the job.

Bronto will be providing pizza and beer for the meetup, so please RSVP if you plan to attend so an accurate amount of pizza can be ordered.

Directions to Bronto can be found here.

Looking forward to seeing everyone. If you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to message me though meetup.

It was nice to see how the systems and software are monitored and maintained especially since I am only familiar development. I enjoyed the presentation!

Great to see how Bronto was handling its infrastructure challenges, and what challenges remain.
