Want to do good? 'Activate Good' even? Want to help those in need, do your charitable deed of the day, and be able to boast that you volunteer on resumes and online dating profiles alike?
This is the group for you!
We're just do-gooding volunteers, in the stereotypical-but-wholesome, pay-it-forward, meet-new-people, help-a-charity, support-a-good-cause, be-part-of-your-local-community vein of volunteering. No politics. No proselytizing.
Triangle Do-Gooders is an arm (or leg, depending on your favorite appendage) of Activate Good, a local volunteer promotion/coordination/motivation 501c3 organization that, well, activates good for all kinds of Triangle causes, big and small, people-focused, puppy-focused, and sometimes even plant-focused. Activate Good helped with relief efforts after the 2011 tornado that hit Wake County, organized the Activate Raleigh event for the 2012 commemoration of 9/11, and sponsors service learning electives in high schools in Durham and Wake Counties.
Join us as we see who needs help, and in doing some one-shot volunteering projects you can get exposed to different causes and groups in the Triangle that you might really find a passion for, and want to come back and help again and again.
