Tapestry Weaving - Artist talk and documentary screening with Silvia Heyden

**Please note that this event has been rescheduled by the Durham Arts Council due to inclement weather. It will now be held Thursday, Feb 6th at 7pm**

Durham Arts Council is honored to present the landmark exhibit: Silvia Heyden and Edith London: Together Again

The exhibit is produced in partnership with Silvia Heyden, curator Lee Hansley, the London/Martin Family and the Durham Art Guild, with generous leadership and support from Dr. Horst Meyer and Ruth Mary Meyer.

Silvia Heyden, internationally known tapestry weaver, and Edith London, internationally known abstract painter and collage artist, were close artistic friends, whose conversations about art found their way into each artist’s work. Join us to enjoy this landmark exhibit and related programs showcasing the work of these two remarkable Durham based artists.

Artist talk - 7pm

Silvia Heyden's reflections on the unique qualities of tapestry weaving including Q & A.

Film screening - 8pm

Screening of A Weaverly Path, The Tapestry Life of Silvia Heyden, a documentary film by Kenny Dalsheimer, in partnership with The Groove Productions.

Free and open to the public.

Beth and Teresa, not sure if you'll be checking here. . . But I had a transportation mixup and am running a bit late. On my way!

Lisa, I think the Art Council has rescheduled this event to Thursday Feb 6th because of the weather

Thanks, Teresa! Hoping they'd reschedule so that any of us who couldn't make it out tonight due to the weather would still get the chance to attend. I've been watching for an announcement on Facebook, but see now that DAC has posted the info on their website. I'll reschedule the event on Meetup. Hope you can still join us!

I went ahead and changed my RSVP since it is supposed to snow tomorrow night I don't want to be driving that far from Raleigh.

Hope you don't get too much snow dumped on y'all. Always strange when a storm comes in from the East!
