Interested in meeting folks who enjoy making, appreciating, and talking about fiber and textile art? YEAH! So am I! North Carolina is chock-full of talented artists and craftspeople working in fibers and textiles. I started this group to meet local fiber art aficionados who'd love to connect with their Triangle counterparts to explore the fiber arts. Let's visit museum and gallery exhibits, studio tours, fine craft venues, and art festivals. We can also join up with others to take a class in a new technique, check out a local university art library, attend a wearable art fashion show, or drool over costumes in the latest period drama. And for those of us who are artists and craftspeople, how about meeting up for coffee, a chat, and some studio time? This group is open to guys and gals who either make fiber art or just love appreciating it. That means: sewing, quilting, surface design (dyeing, printing, etc), embroidery/stitching, spinning, weaving, knitting, crochet, basketry, bookarts, papermaking, quilling, tatting, fiber collage, fashion, art to wear, etc. Remember, fiber is good for you, right?
