Introduction

I grew up ice skating in CT, but since we don't have real winters here in NC I took up inline skating outdoors in the early 1990's. I'm not fast, but that doesn't mean I don't have lots of fun! My favorite skating event is A2A.

Have you participated in any skating events, or are you planning on doing so?

Yes, and I intend to continue doing so. My fav is http://www.a2a.net

Where are you comfortable skating (parking lots, greenways, roads, etc.)?

Anywhere there's decent-to-adequate pavement.

Do you need any help with basic skills such as braking or turning?

There's always something to learn or improve, but I've got the basics down.

What kind of skates do you have (recreational, racing, custom, etc.) or do you need help getting skates?

For the first 14 years, Rollerblade Aeroblades (the best rec skate ever made? :-). The past few years I've added a pair of custom-molded Bont Vaypors, 4-100mm.

How long have you been skating, or are you just getting started (or thinking about it)?

On inlines since 1991. (On ice probably since before you were born...)

    Wednesday Pizza Skate! (different location)
