Triangle JavaScript Monthly Meetup - 09.2012 - Dart

Dart! This month we will take a look at Dart with new member Kevin Moore, fresh in from Seattle. Like CoffeeScript, Dart compiles to Javascript and is designed to work on all modern browsers. It offers formal notions of types, libraries and includes an IDE and a custom browser and virtual machine that allows direct execution of Dart code without compilation. Join us as Kevin takes us on a deep dive into Dart.

We will be meeting at WebAssign on NCSU's Centennial Campus.

Excellent presentation. The presenter spoke very fast but we were warned!

Hey everyone, I will probably be running a little late tonight. We have a big crowd signed up so we may start a little late as well.

Here's a Dart intro from Google. I hope Kevin can also give his presentation w/o blinking once.

I'd love to know your questions about Dart going in. Feel free to ping me on twitter or here.

Though as I read about the Dart language -- I see it may have NOTHING to do with Google's Dart ad services (though they also employ buckets of JavaScript goodness).

Kevin, I'd love to hear more about web components and dart. Dart's perspective on this new development in web world.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
