I just joined the TriangleJS meetup (and failed to attend yesterday's meetup, sorry!) . Anyhow, I thought the group might be interested in a local conference, NC Devcon. I've spoken there the last few years and it's a great conference.
Historically it's been really ColdFusion heavy, since it's put on by a local CF user group. However, these day's it's pretty technology agnostic. I spoke on mobile development last year using PhoneGap, Appcelerator, etc. There was at least one talk on Node.js and a bunch of JS in general. So... well, submit a topic and participate.
On a different note, are there any node-specific user groups or meetups locally? If not, I'm thinking about starting one up.
