Using Julia with Arduino Microcontrollers

Jake Vestal will present the Julia Arduino package, a chance to learn how to apply Julia's speed and clarity to physical-world projects.

The presentation will cover:

1. How to get started with Arduino

2. The advantages of using Julia for microcontroller projects

3. Live demonstrations of processing signal data from various sensors.

No experience with Arduino is necessary, although anyone interested should feel free to take a look at the Arduino package (https://github.com/rennis250/Arduino.jl) and the many pages of Arduino project ideas and tutorials online (http://arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/HomePage, for one).

Hey, good deal. Does it have public results publication capability and/or anonymous collaborative stuff too? Specifically support with IPython? I should check it out.

Are you going to be able to attend the TriPython meetup tonight? It will also be held at Bull City Coworking.

Also, you might want to look at Etherpad.

I forgot who asked this question about real time collaboration at the end of the meeting, so this goes to all the RSVPers:
